What is the most important issue for fire retardant clothing
Fire retardant clothing has outer layer and base layer, normally outer layer is woven, base layer is knitted.
For the outer layer, fire retardant need to meet NFPA2112. The cotton treated, aramid could meet the request.
For the baselayer, fire retardant is not so strictly, meet NFPA70e already good enough. Good hand feeling to skin is important.
For electric industry, Arc rate is also very important.

Cotton FR treating machine
This FR fabric treating machine could make fluorescent fire retardant cotton fabrics, knitted flame-retardant cotton fabrics, cotton-nylon blended flame resistant fabrics, CVC flame resistant fabrics, anti-static fabrics. The fabrics could be used workwears of forpetrochemical engineering , fire retardant protective clothes of firefighting, welders’ work clothes, military uniforms and so on. Recently, we have also developed fire resitant denim for jeans and Fire retardant yarn dyed shirting fabric for yarn dyed shirts.
Protex modacrylic FR material
Modacrylic and Protex modacrylic is perfect blended with cotton as a inherent flame retardant material, it could make the fabric permanent fire retardant and without worrying about the washing times. The hand feeling is also quiet good to the skin and mostly make fire retardant knitted t-shirts, base layers, boxers, balaclava, neck gaiters, liner gloves, socks and so on.
Lenzing FR modal
Lenzing FR modal is a quiet good material if blended with merino wool, as another permanent fire retardant inherent material, this material could give you extra protection as a knitted material which could make fire retardant merino wool lenzing FR modal fire retardant knitted base layer, knitted blaclava, knitted gloves, boxer short pant, T-shirts and so on. Of course fire retardant viscose or rayon also have the function, but the Lenzing FR is better on hand feeling and stability.
Nylon fire retardant material
Nromally nylon is not a good material to make fire retardant clothing. Because even you add fire retardant agent in the yarn, it also has the melting dot. But after many times developing, royal have get a balance between non-melting and agent of fire retardant. So that royal may be the only player who could make nylon fire retardant clothing which could be sure non melting.
